Harrogate District Swimming Club

Harrogate District Swimming Club (HDSC) is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) run by volunteers that exists to promote the enjoyment of competitive swimming. HDSC was the first Club in Yorkshire to achieve nationally recognised accreditation under the ASA Swim 21 scheme, and has been continuously accredited under the Swim England SwimMark scheme which succeeded it. Registered Charity number 1207734.

Our Vision

Our long term vision is to provide a comprehensive programme covering competitive swimming, whilst also providing for those who just want to train for fitness, enjoyment or to compete in other disciplines, incorporating Masters and Disability swimming. We work closely with our local provider, Active North Yorkshire, to make this vision a reality.

How We Run

HDSC is run by a Committee under the Laws of Swim England to which it is affiliated through the Yorkshire SA and Swim England North Eastern Region. Members have the opportunity to swim for individual honours through the Club, County and Regional Championships run by the above bodies. HDSC has a reputation for running swim meets at the Harrogate Leisure and Wellbeing Hub which are to a very high standard; please see the Harrogate Meets section of the web site for details.
